Upcoming Worship

The beginning of a New Year has always been a special time in the spiritual lives of “the people called Methodists.” That surely rings true here at HopeSpring. 2010 will see us welcome a new pastor, build toward our launch, and continue to make ourselves known in our community as a church that truly exists to serve others in the name of Jesus Christ.

Our January Sunday and special days emphases reflect a celebration of God’s call upon our lives and our covenant of faithful discipleship and personal commitment.

"Cultivating Contentment"

Text: It's Valentine's Day, and our thoughts turn to love and giving. But Adam Hamilton calls us to consider "Restless Heart Syndrome," not paper-lace hearts The primary symptom of RHS is discontent. We ask ourselves which tent we are going to choose to live in: discontentment or contentment.

Text: We are created to give, but we are tempted to keep. This week we consider a theological and Biblical foundation for generosity and make ourselves aware of the Judeo-Christian understanding of the tithe and how giving proportionately is a defining characteristic of faithful discipleship.

Text: The highlight of this Sunday of worship will be the presentation of our commitment cards supporting the work of Jesus Christ through HopeSpring and the worldwide reach of The United Methodist Church of which we are a part. Your giving in the year ahead will support the ongoing work of bringing HopeSpring closer to charter and fulfilling our vision to serve with extravagant love in our community.
